2015 Mack Draft 1.0

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State: Winston is the most NFL ready at this time. Taking Mariotta here would be a mistake on my opinion. Winston is a risk but Tampa Bay can’t afford not to take a top QB.

2. Tennessee Titans – Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon: The biggest storyline of the 2015 NFL Draft is where Mariotta will go. Like the Bucs, the Titans biggest need is at the QB position. Zach Mettenberger is not the long term answer for this club and this team needs a leader.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars – Dante Fowler Jr., DE/OLB, Florida: The main question is whether the Jags decide to give Bortles another weapon in a #1 WR or do the Jags address a need with the top pass rusher? Pass rusher makes the most sense for Jacksonville with this pick and this guy is going to be a stud.

4. Oakland Raiders – Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama: The Raiders need to give 2nd year QB Derek Carr more weapons which they did not address in Free Agency. Drafting a #1 WR would be the best decision for the Raiders. Will it be Cooper or White?

5. Washington Redskins – Vic Beasley, DE/OLB, Clemson: The Redskins lost a top contributor on defense when Orakpo signed with the Titans. They need to replace him and this guy has shown flashes that he will be great.

6. New York Jets – Brandon Scherff, OL, Iowa: The Jets need to do more on the offensive side of the ball and now that they have acquired some weapons they need to address the Oline. This guy would be a premier Right Tackle and a future replacement for D’Brickshaw once he is gone. Scherff could also start right away at Guard.

7. Chicago Bears – Leonard Williams, DT, Southern California: The Bears will need to decide if drafting Kevin White is more important than addressing the defensive side of the ball. In my opinion, if this guy is here at #7 this is a no brainer. He is the safest pick in the draft and an immediately game changer which this team needs.

8. Atlanta Falcons – Shane Ray, DE, Missouri: The Falcons missed out on a pass rusher last year in the draft. This guy may have the quickest first step as an edge rusher in this group.

9. New York Giants – La’el Collins, OT, LSU: The Giants need a Right Tackle and this guy is the next best in this year’s class. Manning needs major protection to get the offense moving again.

10. St. Louis Rams – Kevin White, WR, West Virginia: With this guy still available and fact that this team does not have a #1 WR I see them drafting this guy. They also need a Center but I don’t see them drafting one in the 1st unless they trade down.

11. Minnesota Vikings – DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville: Depending on what happens with AP the Vikings may need a RB with this pick. Otherwise they need more weapons on offense and this guy could be a legit #1 WR for them.

12. Cleveland Browns – Danny Shelton, NT, Washington: Cleveland was atrocious versus the run and this is one of the only guys who can change that right away. If he is there at #12 and they don’t take him I would just say, the Browns are who we thought they were.

13. New Orleans Saints – Randy Gregory, DE/OLB, Nebraska: This team needs to address this position on the defensive side of the ball. Even with his issues failed drug test issues the Saints can’t afford to pass on his talent.

14. Miami Dolphins – Trae Waynes, CB, Mich. State: The Dolphins have a huge hole at the CB position with Cortland Finnegan. If the top CB is still there at this point the Fins would be smart to grab him.

15. San Francisco 49ers – Denzel Perryman, ILB, Miami: One of the most abysmal off-seasons a team has had to endure in a long time. Many would say taking an ILB is too high here but this team is desperate at the position and it has been so important to the defensive scheme.

16. Houston Texans – Alvin Dupree, DE/OLB, Kentucky: With the top 2 QBs drafted already, this team focuses its attention to the defensive side of the ball. Another pass rusher would only help this team.

17. San Diego Chargers – Melvin Gordon, RB, Wisconsin: The Chargers haven’t had a good Running Back since LT left. This guy would fit very nicely with the Chargers scheme.

18. Kansas City Chiefs – Cameron Erving, C, Florida State: The Chiefs lost their stud starting center Rodney Hudson in Free Agency and we know how important that position is to Andy Reid. Erving is a plug-and-play option in the first round and it fills a need.

19. Cleveland Browns (from Buffalo) – Breshad Perriman, WR, Central Florida: Even with the acquisitions of Hartline and Bowe this team still needs a #1 WR. This guy has a ton of potential and could help immediately.

20. Philadelphia Eagles – Byron Jones, CB, Connecticut: One of the most intriguing prospects for me in this draft. The Eagles need help at this position and this may surprise some people taking this guy but I think it’s the right fit.

21. Cincinnati Bengals – Arik Armstead, DT, Oregon: Some are comparing this guy to Calais Campbell. This team needs a guy to help the edge rushers. A big body will do just that.

22. Pittsburgh Steelers – Jalen Collins, CB, LSU: I would be shocked if the Steelers didn’t use this pick on the CB position. This guy is the best available and would be a good fit on this team.

23. Detroit Lions – Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia: With a deep OT class this year and the fact that the Lions love the sexy pick of late, this guy will be impossible to pass up if he is still there.

24. Arizona Cardinals – Marcus Peters, CB, Washington: With ACro gone, the Cards now need to fill the other CB spot. A ton of talent with this guy if he can keep his head on straight.

25. Carolina Panthers – Ereck Flowers, OT, Miami: This team has to improve the offensive line to help Newton stay healthy. This is a no-brainer pick here.

26. Baltimore Ravens – Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State: The 49ers signed Torrey Smith and the other Smith is 36 next month. The Ravens need more weapons on the offensive side of the ball.

27. Dallas Cowboys – Malcom Brown, DT, Texas: Almost seems to perfect for this guy to go to this team. Jerry Jones likes the player and he likes the hometown money that comes with the fan base.

28. Denver Broncos – Andrus Peat, OT, Stanford: The Broncos need to upgrade a position that saw poor production in 2014. This is arguably the best OT left at this point.

29. Indianapolis Colts – Eric Kendricks, LB, UCLA: The Colts will take a hard look at the RB position here but will most likely wait if the top 2 guys are gone. They need help at the LB position and this guy is a tackling machine.

30. Green Bay Packers – Kevin Johnson, CB, Wake Forest: The Packers need some youth and depth at this position and some think this guy is a perfect fit for the Packers. A WR may also be an option since they lost Cobb.

31. New Orleans Saints – Landon Collins, SS, Alabama: The Saints are ecstatic that the top Safety fell to them here. Although they have this spot filled currently the 2 guys aren’t working out and the secondary is putrid.

32. New England Patriots – Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Oklahoma: After a Super bowl win that was, yet again, clouded in controversy, the Pats choose to take a big weapon who would thrive on this team in this system.
